This series interrogated the function of representation in relationship to actual events.

Suspicious that actual events were more meaningful than representations of them, these performances, installations and events were settings where major components of the content of the pieces were created by virtue of the acts taking place on stage. The content of these pieces was also based on an interview with my grandfather, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide. This body of work was supported in large part from a series of commissions by 3-Legged Race in Minneapolis.
